
Congratulations to all of our June School Board Resolution recipients! From impressive athletic accomplishments to academic honors at the state and national levels, it was a pleasure to recognize so many deserving Mountaineers at the final board meeting of the 2024–25 school year.


After a long weekend, it was a great start to the week recognizing students in grades 5-8 with Mountaineer Achievement Awards! These students are celebrated for a variety of successes this school year. Congratulations, Mountaineers!


Please join us in celebrating our record-breaking Senior Awards Night! An incredible $1,980,050 was awarded to graduating EHS seniors — a total that is hard to match, not just locally, but across the state and possibly the nation. We are beyond grateful for our generous community and the amazing support behind our students’ futures.









Did you hear the great news? Our What’s So Cool About Manufacturing team placed 2nd in PA! Over 170 teams from across the state competed, and we’re proud to say we made it to the top! Even more exciting — we’re the first team from South Central PA to place in the top three at the state finals! Way to go, team!

🎺 On May 16, the EMS Band rocked Music in the Parks at Hershey with a 91.25 score — 1st place & superior rating!
🎤 On May 20, EMS Mounts Melodic & EHS Camerata Choir also earned superior ratings!

More great news Envirothon news to share! Two Ephrata Middle School teams - Don't Leaf Us Behind & The Ephrata Ecologists - placed among the top five teams in Lancaster County at the middle school competition this week. Great work, Mountaineers!




Huge congrats to Cole McAnany, an 8th grader at Ephrata Middle School, for earning a perfect score in the prestigious Math Olympiad (MOEMS®) — a feat achieved by only the top 2% nationwide!
Cole, who’s been competing since 5th grade, impressed his teacher, Mr. Zeni, with his rare talent: “Cole is a mathematician… he can solve problems in his head with little or no work.”
With over 84,000 students participating, Cole’s achievement is a true standout. Way to go, Cole!


Best wishes to our Ephrata Middle School students who earned a spot in the next round of the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing video contest! They're headed to the state competition in Harrisburg today. GO MOUNTS!

EIMS raised $27,176.47 at their MiniThon this weekend for Four Diamonds who assist children and their families battling childhood cancers and pays 100% of all uncovered medical expenses. Thanks to our community sponsors for helping to make this impactful event such a success!



Kicking off March Madness with our annual EIMS Student vs. Staff Basketball Game fundraiser. Thanks to all players and volunteers who helped to raise over $1,390 for the Four Diamonds Fund.

Today, we are especially thankful for a supportive and engaged community. We had the privilege of hosting six inspiring leaders who shared their insights on entrepreneurship with 8th graders launching their own "Invest with Me" concepts and welcomed nearly 20 local professionals who guided 11th graders in exploring potential career paths. Thank you for joining EASD in our mission to inspire all of our students reach their full potential.








The annual EASD Coding Contest kicked off this week, and we have been very impressed by students' #EASDLifeReady collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking! Now, it its 10th year, we are grateful to the Ephrata Area Education Foundation for their ongoing support of the EASD Coding Contest.




During School Social Work Week, join us in thanking these incredible Mountaineers for their important work in our schools and communities!


Our newest student design challenge is underway! Intermediate and Middle School students are working with local experts to create an outdoor learning space in the school courtyard. We can't wait to see how this collaboration comes to life!
