Mr. Zeni STEM Educator Award

Ephrata Intermediate and Middle School Teacher Mr. Adam Zeni recently received a PPL STEM Educator Award for proven success in developing and delivering science, technology, engineering and math coursework that engages students and inspires creativity. He is also the recipient of a $1,500 PPL Foundation grant for educational STEM materials and programs. Mr. Zeni was one of five teachers to receive this recognition and the only educator in Lancaster County.

Celebrating Mr. Zeni's positive contributions, Ephrata Middle School Principal Dr. Chris Montagna shared, "This award highlights the impact that Mr. Zeni has on the students and staff at EIS and EMS. He has done a wonderful job elevating student voice and being a guide for students as they continue their journey to becoming Life Ready Graduates."

“By giving students early opportunities to explore the STEM fields, teachers can equip them with the critical-thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities they’ll need to thrive in a rapidly changing world,” said Lissette Santana, president of the PPL Foundation. “PPL supports teachers who are empowering our students to meet the challenges and opportunities that will shape our future.”
