Meet A Mountaineer

It was a successful First Friday kickoff at EHS! During lunch periods, students played a variety of games, won trivia prizes, posed for pictures, and more…all to set a welcoming and positive vibe for the month ahead.

Today was the Lancaster-Lebanon K’Nex Challenge. Our EIS team FINISHED FIRST with their high-tech Trash Picker Upper to help combat litter on farm fields. This win now qualifies them for the state competition. Congrats Anthony, Audrey, Joshua & Lucinda! GO MOUNTS!

Our Mountaineers created hundreds of valentines (500 from EMS alone) as part of the Blue Ridge Touch a Heart initiative. Students’ encouraging messages will be delivered to local nursing home residents and hospital patients, as well as Veterans and soldiers.

Congrats to both the girls & boys swim teams for cinching section titles this week!
The girls have won the section for the 4th year in a row, which is their 7th in the last 8 years.
The boys won the section this year for the 4th time in 5 years.
Well done, Mountaineers!

The softball turf is rolling out!
Plus! Look at all the progress on the new concession/bathroom building!

We love hearing from our students! Our Student Engagement Facilitators' ongoing efforts to increase student voice, engagement, and belonging recently included group discussions to learn what is going well and what more can be done to help students feel successful now and in the future.

Thank you to the Lancaster Chamber for providing their mentorship program for our high school students. Students recently met their mentors, who represent a variety of professions, and look forward to all they are about to learn in the coming months. #EASDLifeReady

Congrats to the four Mountaineers who were part of the PMEA District 7 Chorus Festival this weekend. Also, a special shout-out to Sally Bollinger who qualified for the regional chorus! #MountsPride

MEET A MOUNTAINEER

Congrats to Dakota Frey (clarinet) & Micah Bautista (trombone) who successfully auditioned and were selected to participate in the PMEA Region V Honors Band held at Eastern York High School on February 22-24.

Today five teams - out of 39 - presented K'Nex concepts to a panel of judges to determine who will move on in the competition. From predator detection, trash collection & more, students embodied #EASDLifeReady traits to build prototypes to positively impact the farming industry.

We love seeing so many Mountaineers enjoying their Snow Day. See any familiar faces?
