From healthcare and hospitality to local government and the arts, 5th graders spend the morning exploring a wide range of careers and learning how each can make a meaningful difference in our community. As part of their Cornerstone project, Mounts Run This Town, students will now begin researching and developing individual projects to answer an important question: How will my future job choice help me connect with the community?

A heartfelt thank-you to the 24 local professionals who spent time with our fifth graders today, sharing their jobs, career journeys, and insights about the many paths available after graduation.

Today kicked off two days of learning at the district farm, where our sixth graders are taking part in learning activities during Corny Days!

Thanks to the support of the Ephrata Area Education Foundation, local agricultural leaders, and dedicated volunteers, this annual event has been connecting students with agriculture for 19 years. If you know an EASD sixth grader, be sure to ask them what they learned at Corny Days!

EHS offers students more than 30 clubs and organizations, giving students a wide variety of ways to explore interests and extend their learning beyond the classroom. Thanks to a generous donation from Critical Finds Comics & Collectibles, the Board Games Club has new resources that will help build students' creativity, strategy, problem-solving, and communication skills, while designing and painting their own miniatures and working together around the table.
Thank you, Critical Finds, for investing in our students!

What a way to kick off the weekend! If you know a Mountaineer in 7th or 8th grade, ask them about Clash of Classes today. The energy was off the charts. It's AWESOME to see hundreds of students and staff collectively embody the EASD culture, collaborate in some friendly competition, and earn points for being a great teammate. Keep up the great work, Mountaineers! We can't wait to see which Color Squad will end the 26-27 school year at the top!
