Resolutions Galore! From athletics and academics to FFA and Be The E, students, staff and parents were recognized tonight for many impressive achievements. Congrats, Mountaineers!

Congratulations to 6th graders Aiden and Logan for earning a spot in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Esports League state competition! Each region selects only one team, and theirs rose to the challenge. Well done, Mountaineers! We’re proud of you!

Earlier this week, two teams proudly represented EASD at the IU13 K’Nex STEM Design Challenge, designing sustainable production machines and engaging event attendees. Huge congrats to the EIS team, who earned FIRST PLACE for their innovative idea, Wash Wise! They’ll advance to the state-level challenge in May at the Farm Show Complex. Well done to all our students for an outstanding showing!

EASD was well represented at this year’s Invention Convention! Out of more than 400 entries across the state, three EASD teams earned a spot among the top 50 in Pennsylvania and presented recently in Hershey alongside fellow young innovators from across the Commonwealth. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, creativity, and dedication to this academic challenge.

Our 5th graders spent the day at JA BizTown! They worked real-world jobs, earned and spent wages, ran businesses, and led local government—all part of their yearlong Cornerstone project exploring how careers connect to community. Huge thanks to our parent volunteers!

Shout out to our amazing team of EASD School Counselors and the important work they do to support our students!

Celebrating our EIS Connection Creators today! Through games and activities, they built friendships with fellow Mountaineers that will last beyond the project day.

Now through March 31, round up at the GIANT register to support the Feeding School Kids initiative and help EASD students in need. GIANT will match donations up to $100,000!

REMINDER: There is no school for students on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20. Offices will be open.
In this year’s K’Nex Design Challenge, students designed Sustainable Production Machines focused on efficiency and eco-friendly practices. Teams from EASD elementary schools and EIS presented at EIMS, with top teams advancing to the County Challenge at IU13 on Feb. 4. Great work, students!

A group of Mountaineers recently joined middle school singers from across central PA for a one-day choral festival at Lebanon Valley College, learning new techniques from college musicians and performing new music together. A great experience for both young singers and several future educators! EASD students represented our school with talent and pride!

This morning, 5th graders rotated through classrooms to engage in short presentations and conversations, learning how different careers help connect people and strengthen our community. Big thanks to our 23 volunteers for inspiring students to ask: “How will my future job choice help me connect with my community?”

Corny Days are back! Our 5th graders are diving into hands-on activities to discover how corn impacts our daily lives - from what we eat to what we use. Huge thanks to our volunteers and the Ephrata Area Education Foundation for keeping this EASD tradition thriving!

Applesauce Day marked its 3rd year of this sweet tradition! EIMS students teamed up to rinse, peel, and chop apples before enjoying fun apple-themed activities like tasting, tote bag painting, and sensory play. It was a day full of teamwork and smiles!

The fun and learning are sky-high on this half day! From the middle school Clash of Classes to elementary STEAM Days, students are making memories through hands-on, high-energy experiences. A big thank you to the Ephrata Area Education Foundation for helping make these opportunities possible! Have a safe and enjoyable long weekend, Mountaineers. We’ll see you back on Monday!
