Among the most exciting moments was the election of Sally Bollinger, EHS Class of 2025, as the 2025-2026 Pennsylvania FFA State Vice President.
Bollinger was one of 34 candidates vying for state office. She completed a rigorous selection process, which included two virtual interview rounds before convention and multiple in-person evaluations at State College—including a five-minute introductory speech, extemporaneous speaking, and group interviews. She was called back for a final interview round on Wednesday and waited anxiously until Thursday morning, when her name was announced on stage at Eisenhower Auditorium.
“I am beyond thrilled to be serving as the PA FFA Vice President! My six teammates and I will be spending the year traveling through our Commonwealth, visiting FFA members, planning workshops, and representing PA within our legislature and agricultural industries! I cannot wait to make new connections and learn more about agriculture in Pennsylvania,” Sally shared.
This accomplishment marks the first time since 2009–2010 that an Ephrata student has held a state office and the first time in 19 years that a female has served in this role.
“Sally's dedication, leadership, and composure throughout this process were incredible to witness,” said Sarah Stauffer, EHS FFA Advisor. “The entire group rallied behind her and celebrated every step of the way. I could not be prouder of all our students.”
