On a cold, windy day in February, elementary students from around the district were given a hard hat tour of the new 5/6 Intermediate Building that is currently being built on to the sixth grade wing at the Middle School.
The tour began with students meeting Jeff Angstadt inside the construction trailers. Here, students and teachers alike were given hard hats and guidelines that would help keep everyone safe while walking through the building.
While answering questions throughout the tour, Angstadt did a walkthrough of most of the building as he was describing what the students were seeing.
With questions being prepared ahead of time by the students, Angstadt was put on the spot with questions like "Is the government paying this? Or will it be coming out of the parents' pockets?"
Overall, the students were given a great tour that helped answer questions and alleviate some of the students' fears of moving to the new building.
