On Thursday, January 10th, 8th grade students at Ephrata Middle School sat in anticipation, waiting to hear about what their high school life will be like. Mrs. Eby, Ephrata High School's principal, opened the course selection presentations that morning, stating that, "...we have a whole new group of vivacious and energetic students heading our way."
Various teachers from the high school came and spoke about the difference between the low and high level classes within their departments including Mrs. Hauser, one of the 9th grade English teachers, and Mrs. Bauer, one of the 9th grade Math teachers. The 9th grade guidance councelor, Kerri Batdorf, showed the kids, through her powerpoint presentation, the requirements needed to graduate from high school and many of the elective choices they have.
Many of the students seemed excited for what the next year of school has in store for them.
