Tuesday, November 25, Highland first graders had their annual Thanksgiving feast. For the past week, the first graders have been learning about the very first Thanksgiving and preparing for their very own.
They have been going from station to station learning about the pilgrims and indians, and what school was like for the pilgrims.
Each first grader got to decide whether they wanted to be a pilgrim or indian. The indians got to make feathered headdresses and the pilgrims made hats.
Finally, all their learning and hard work paid off. They got to sit down and enjoy their very own Thanksgiving Feast of fruits and vegetables, popcorn, corn bread, and pumpkin pie.
