On Wednesday, May 21, the Fulton fourth and fifth graders had an adventurous day looking into the future and touring the Ephrata Middle School, which they will be attending next year. The brand new Intermediate Building added to the excitement considering that next year is the first year it will be in use for the fifth and sixth graders.
The interesting day began in the auditorium discussing the plans and the schedule for the tour. The Fulton students then split up into groups which were lead by middle-schoolers, who then guided the fourth and fifth graders around the unfamiliar campus. The Fulton students learned the essentials of being a middle schooler, for example, opening a locker.
It was very clear how eager the young students were to exit elementary school and begin a new chapter of their academic career as intermediate schoolers. Their futures will hold many new challenges and journeys!
