Instrutor teaching Students About Colonial Times

Students Using Mortar and Pestle to Crush Herbs

On October 16, Fulton Elementary 5th grade students were entertained and enlightened by the Heritage Center. The representative of the Heritage Center taught the students about colonial times. The children could not conceal their disgust when the instructor told them nasty facts about old colonial techniques to heal ones’ body before there were doctors. Students marveled when the instructor informed them that back then, everyone made their own clothes. Laughter echoed throughout the room when two of their fellow students dressed up in colonial garments that were much too colossal for them. The Heritage Center Program was a great learning experience that the students loved.
