On Friday, October 12, local fire departments came to instruct the students on proper fire safety. The firefighters were aided by Freddy the Fire T ruck, who helped the children understand how to prevent and be safe during a fire. The students learned that you should check your smoke detector battery every month, and change it every year. They also learned that you should have a fire escape route for every room in your house. Then they found out that you should also have a proper meeting place that everyone in the family knows about in case of a fire.
