The students in Mrs. Halsey’s class and Mrs. Boyd’s class at at Clay got some hands-on learning experiences on Earth Day. The teachers and helpers had several stations for the students to move through which included creating an earth puzzle, listing ways to help protect the environment, the making of "dirt pudding", and the planting of various plants and flowers on the grounds of the school.
The students enjoyed the puzzles and discussion, but they really came alive when they got a chance to dig up the ground and gently plant the perennials - and of course, the dirt pudding was a huge hit! Great job Crickets!
