A few days before Thanksgiving, the students at Akron designed different arts and crafts. They were so proud of their creations that they displayed them in the hallways of the school. Some examples of their displayed creativity were turkeys that were made with any kind of material the students could use and colorings of scarecrows. The turkeys were made with real feathers for some and macaroni noodles and candy for others. Underneath the scarecrows, the students wrote a piece called Meet My Scarecrow. This is where they could form their scarecrow into any type of person. As faculty and visitors walked up and down the hallways, they could not help but stare at the art work that was designed by the creative students. The students at Akron seemed to be very excited about the Thanksgiving holiday and prepared with a mind full of holiday spirit.
