 Ephrata is famous for the quality of both its Spanish and German programs. Both languages offer trips for students who have studied it for at least two years. Also, Chinese has replaced Japanese this year as Ephrata's third language. Just as with Japanese, Chinese is a distance learning program. Chinese is provided through Hempfield. It is also possible to sit in on and observe the Chinese class for a period. The Chinese period runs from 1:30 until 3:00 and it is only a semester course.
