Note: information is left here from the previous school year until this year's schedule is announced. Information is expected to be similar to last year's.

Summer information
Orchestra information:
- 5th grade orchestra meets every Wednesday during school (12:20-1:10)
- Elementary orchestra - non-beginners
- Beginner orchestra - Gr. 3-5
- Cancellation protocols (i.e. inclement weather, other)
Concert information:
- ....
- Concert etiquette - as not everyone commonly attends formal concerts, this identifies what is understood to be appropriate audience behavior.

Suggested Home Library - One of the best ways students grow musically is by hearing good music. You are encouraged to have several of the recordings listed on this handout in your home for your child to listen to (and for your own enjoyment as well!). Be sure to periodically add a new recording or two! For further listening resources, click here.

- Music for church: Sacred Settings (by Robert Frost/ published by Kjos) is an excellent collection of 24 hymns for students who have started lesson Book Two. Each hymn can be played as a solo, duet, or trio with like instruments, or with other string instruments if the book(s) for the other instrument(s) are purchased. Price is approximately $5.00 (order from your music dealer using the above information), and a piano accompaniment book is also available.
